Having to learn to choose between their selfish desires and the needs of other passengers, participants of the game do not only learn to put the needs of others over their own needs but to also evaluate the needs of others and how those needs can impact society as a whole. With the whole emphasis put on decision making mechanisms, the participants also learn the importance of active participation and forming coalitions to represent the choices and needs of people.
This simulation game sheds light on three different questions: 1) What makes a good decision? 2) What is needed to make a good decision? 3) To what extent do individuals participate in political life, and what mechanisms do they use? In addition, the game helps the participants understand the importance of developing a culture of inclusiveness between different social classes.
